Black and redwood furniture, are you mad woman? It would make our flat look far too dark. No, no. We want light woods and soft colors. Mum always said it was best to make a small space look large. I might have named him Flubber. That would explain why a girl smells good at about every angle. I think it's too much effort, though. Puffing all over is the way I might wear it. If I were a bird. The hour is getting quite late and I'm sure a pretty bird like yourself needs beauty sleep. (Also Olive has been looking a bit ragged.) I think perhaps we should let my poor girl rest and we'll pick this up tomorrow or so? DEAR ANONYMOUS, I would say it is better this way, though. You have an unbias opinion. Even if I blunder about the sensitive stuff. I am not a tease, Miss Anonymous. Not teasing if it's the truth. My mirror told me so. Never played Quidditch, never thrown a dungbomb. What a sheltered life. Next you'll say you've never been to to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Or you haven't gone to Honeydukes and that's just a sad existence. I think being flatmates will do us just fine. As will changing our names so completely. The better to shed our pasts with! Surprisingly that is not the first time Olive has been praised and vaguely threatened in one letter. Don't let your owl eat her, though, I've grown quite attached to the little fluff ball. And no I won't include a photo to prove my dashing good looks, you must take my word on them. No cursing, either then. Duly noted. Perhaps just a well placed dungbomb? No, no, no. I can't allow it. DEAR ANONYMOUS, She described it as an assault on her senses. Even though he was even more dashing than her date. I think it had the ruffles, yes. And she said it smelled. I don't really recall that much of the story aside from the fact she was trying to make me feel better by blaming my blood. I wish you the best of luck in your box breaking, then. I encourage many blasting curses in order to properly destroy the box. I don't think anything less will do. Unless you are against rampant destruction of boxes. Ah yes I have a bit of the opposite problem, depending on the crowd. I'm either not trusted or expected to do 'great things'. I suppose for us it'd be near impossible to ever get past our family names, wouldn't it? I would think things like that will follow us until we die. Perhaps you are friends with the wrong sort? DEAR ANONYMOUS, Well then Miss Anonymous, I will be pleased to announce that I happily do NOT have them lady bits. I am a male. Though I'm sure my sister would try to tell you different. Don't believe her. My wand work serves me just fine, thank you! I just happened to do better when I wasn't waving my bit of wood about. I still blame the cloak in question. Sounds like you understand the pain of being thought to follow your family's footsteps, then. But I think I will apologize on your parents behalf. Perhaps your wand might have a bit of accident if you hate being used as their tool so much? My mum said I just have a problem with fabrics. Personally I think she's lying but then she went on about this story about my dad and an old dress robe and, well... I think I'd rather is have been dipped in a potion. Ah! A fellow black sheep! I'm thankful that my family doesn't dictate my life, but my name rather makes it hard for me to chose any other path. I'm constantly reminded who my family is and it's not as though I could suddenly become something else. Even if I wanted I don't think the world would allow it. I'm pushed into a box of my family name, a box my family created by their actions. Not my own. I can say the same about not speaking outside my circle. DEAR ANONYMOUS, Never played Quidditch? You poor woman (woman right? With the comment about the 'guys thing' I assume you are NOT a guy) not being able to play. When I was young my dad used to toss me on a broom and send me up. Nearly gave my mum a heart attack every time, but then she disapproved of a lot when it came to raising me and my sister. Liking this weather... Not sure I can join you in that one. This weather is absolutely terrible. Can't even Apparate and stay dry. Though I would cast a repelling charm on my cloak but last time I did that it turned into a pile of threads. Which is bollox, I got an E on my NEWTS in Charms, I'll have you know. I have a suspicion that someone might have jinxed my cloak, but I'm not sure I want to try again for fear my Charms skills are simply that rusty. One has to wonder if the owner knows how to preform a good scouring charm or if his wand shorts out about halfway into it and multiplies the dust. Haven't you ever wondered what it'd be like to talk to someone without them knowing you by your name or face? I think it'd be refreshing to know if I'm actually worthy of company or if people just like me because of my family. There's a clue to my identity in there. JAMES SIRIUS POTTER & HUGO ARTHUR WEASLEYI was considering the same thoughts, when it comes to them. I'm not sure Hugo hates him because of his dad but rather the fact that he's harping on about the Potter name. Certainly going out for interviews isn't going to endear James to Hugo either. I could see definite animosity between the two of them (Hugo might probably blame James for the Order being re-instituted, even if he sees the need to do it.) and maybe Hugo and James getting into it. But yeah, I think the protectiveness would go both ways. They both lost their dads and Hugo's taken to it that he doesn't want to lose anymore family. And (unfortunately) James is still family. EMMA GRACE FINNIGAN & @matty HOW KIND! PROTECTING HIM FROM ICKY GIRLIES! All sorts of sexual advances will make him uncomfortable and I'd love to see Matty cornered in the hall by a Slytherin girl trying to be all over his biscuit and have big bad Em come save him. And his metaphorical biscuit. Don't go snaggin' his biscuit. ... I think they could be fun friends, though. Emma wouldn't need to worry about him hitting on her. Ever. Plus they are in the Guardian's together, so that's a plus.

Written after dinner, one hour to curfew.DEAR ANONYMOUS, It's late in the evening, I guess, but I would figure it is a good a time as any to write to someone I don't know. I tossed my owl out in the hopes of finding someone worth while to talk to. And she's found you. Lucky you. So the whole point of this is to talk to someone you don't know. I read somewhere that this is a common practice among some. Sounds like a load of rubbish if you ask me but I might as well go along with it. In any case ground rules -if you haven't ripped this up- are that we share no names. Not our own nor the people we know. Major figureheads don't count. We don't discuss our work, or our house, whichever it is. No jinxing the parchment because it's bloody annoying to have to check for them. Personal details aside from what I mentioned above is fine. Now onto the conversation. Lovely weather we're having, isn't it? Perfect for going out and drowning in an attempt to play a nice game of quidditch. Did you see the Hog's Head recently? It didn't take a genius to know that Weasley wasn't a huge fan of his job. It wasn't a career he would have chosen for himself, but if one took into account his OWL scores (not to mention the three NEWTs he took) it was easy to understand why he became a Nurse. Considering it was one of his very few options other than to join in the Wheezes business. Which, frankly, was not an option for Hugo. He wanted to avoid his family name, not join in the ginger revolution.
So, Hugo went to a job he couldn't care for, worked with students that couldn't seem to stay out of trouble, and ran into familiar faces left and right. And that wasn’t even scraping the situation that was his membership within the Order. Hugo scoffed to himself as he started down at the potion ingredients on his desk. Right. Membership. All because of his hair and freckles and because his dad kept getting swept up with his Uncle. Next thing he knew, his mum would be following the trio.
Hugo ran a hand through his near non existent hair as he continued his long stare at the various ingredients. He was supposed to be making something, but for the life of him he couldn’t remember what. Obviously it couldn’t have been that important or else he would have done it already. Which left that he had probably been on the way to be making a fresh batch of blood-replenishing potion or maybe a calming draught. Hugo sighed to himself before standing up and reaching to grab his cloak. It couldn’t be helped now so he might as well take the time off. A brief glance around the infirmary to confirm there was no one who needed him before he stepped out to begin his journey to Hogsmead.

The door clanked softly as Hugo entered the dank and dark pub, the noise breaking only briefly at his arrival. No familiar faces were present in the lingering crowd and only the familiar scent of stale alcohol and dirt greeted him. Yes, this was indeed the perfect place to be just another wizard in the crowd. No one would know him and maybe he’d even get a pinch of conversation. He chuckled at the thought as he made the way to the bar, an eyebrow raised curiously to a nameless wizard that had been watching him enter.
Perhaps not completely anonymous then.
Hugo tapped on the counter gently before he spoke up. ”Blishen’s firewhiskey for me, thanks.” With that he pulled out a few sickles and a handful of knuts and tossed them onto the counter in his payment, saying nothing as his drink slid towards him. The young wizard picked it up before taking a small, burning sip that warmed him as it went down. Only then did he look over to the wizard that had watched him walk in. ”The names Hugo, and yours?”

ANTOSHA KIRILLOVICH VOLKOV && HADRIAN FEROX GREYBACK ::: We did discuss this a bit. Antosha is definitely from Russia, though they moved to England before he would have gone to Durmstrang. Antosha is a Death Eater as well so I think they'd have plenty of opportunities to meet. Though..... Antosha might make one or two dog jokes about Hadrian (harmless jokes, mostly). TRIVIA FOR HADRIAN.... Antosha's last name? Means wolf. ANTOSHA KIRILLOVICH VOLKOV && PRISCILLA NICOLE CARROW ::: Well, Antosha technically has tainted blood because of his mom and a vampire gettin' it on >_>. But! He loves parties. And booze. One of the rare good days that didn't consist of shelving things in the library under the watchful eye of Mr. Cas-look-alike, nor did it consist of getting drunk and high with all his friends. That was what he was doing now, or at least where he was headed to go. Nope. Today he had a good day all on his own. Well. Not really. He'd met this freakishly tall guy at a tattoo shop and one thing led to another and next thing Pete knew this weirdo was buying his alcohol.
Pete could get behind ignoring the stranger danger rule if it meant he got free booze he could give his buddies. Plus it wasn't like he was a chick that would give it up to whoever flashed the cash. He wouldn't do that period.
So here he was walking through District 5 towards an abandoned warehouse -sans his skateboard because he'd forgotten- with two bags of various booze clanking together, and a still steaming pizza he'd bought on the way. His hood was drawn up over his head in an attempt to block out the cold. It was just about all he could do to not whistle happily as he strolled, excited to get the chance to get drunk and skate again.
It didn't take long before the hooligan reached the warehouse that Aaron texted him about. So he ducked underneath the chains and entered the condemned building like he was entering Jace's house. As he walked inside the slightly warmer building he was greeted by the familiar tones of Josh's voice. And if he smiled, well, he just missed his best friend.
"I brought pizza so now you can bow to the pizza man." Pete spoke quietly as he walked up to his two friends, using one hand to push his hood back from his face.
