Mostly everyone hated him while he was in school because he was a Malfoy but in his last year (when the death eaters to over hogwarts) he didn’t run away and he stuck it out because he wants to help the order. So they are probably friends now.

Maybe at first he didn’t trust Scorpius and he is rude to him but maybe they can get closer and he can be a possible father type figure in his life… especially since now that his family has all been tortured to insanity. -THOUGHTS? Or he can just keep being rude to Scorpius and Scorpius will just avoid him at all costs because he doesn’t like unnecessary contention.

Yeah no one likes Scorpius the first couple of years. Scorpius is very forgiving so he would’ve appreciated if James reached out to him after everything went down a few years ago. He def comes from a family of runners and he is a target os it’s understandable. Scorpius doesn’t see himself as worthy of Lily’s love… and he feels like he is bad news too… but it doesn’t change his feelings for her. But I think they probably are friends and it will probably grow more as time goes on and Scorpius continues to prove himself good.
