He'll be a Death Eater spy. Like his brother he's a half vampire.

Her mother died three years ago during the Hogwarts attack, killed by Death Eaters despite the fact her mother was a halfblood. It was through Catherine's insistence that she's continuing in school because she didn't want to lose any of her valuable learning time. She was well aware of the risk living in the school and hides the fact her father is a muggle. In fact as far as anyone knows, her father died in the Ministry takeover. Catherine is cool and calculating, enjoys knowledge and disapproves of any sort of stupidity.
