[attr="class","SScontent2temp1"] The news was starting to finally set in. Harry Potter was dead. So many people had come up to him to say that they were sorry. Ted had yet to go see the family because it was getting harder with each death. Hermione's death had been hard on him, but Harry's death was definitely the hardest one to swallow. He could have taken off from his job as they wanted him to, but he was against it. It wasn't something that he was about to do. Let other people handle finding the person responsible for Harry's death. A week had gone by since Harry's death. He looked worst than when he had found out. Ted had barely been getting any sleep and his main meal of the day? Alcohol, barely eating anything that was considered food. His time was spent on finding the person that had done it or he had taken up drinking at a bar. Guys usually weren't the ones found crying, but he had a good amount of that week and with good reason. He had even knocked out a guy at the bar for being an ass to a lady. She had been drinking and talking to him though he had started to get out of hand which was when Ted had stepped in. His fist was bruised a bit from the hit that he had delivered to the guy, not caring if a duel would have broken out in the bar. The guy was knocked out cold though by Ted, who just sat back down and downed the shot that had been left at the bar when he had gotten up. The bartender had offered him a bag of ice and hadn't bothered to have him kicked out since he was a regular. Plus, the other guy had been an asshole. Ted had managed to down two more shots before he left the bar that night without taking that bag of ice from the bartender. Since the death of Harry Potter, he had been on a downward spiral. He was so focused on looking for who had killed him that he was just a mess. He wasn't taking care of himself like he should have been. That guy that would have once joked around and could have went with any girl was gone. In only a week, he had changed a lot. It had been common for someone to die when his parents and godfather had been growing up. As for him, it had become common though this had been the first death to really effect him in a way that he was having trouble grieving it. After all before his first child was born, Harry had done a lot of things with Ted as if he was his son.

Ted had left the bar and apparated to a house which he had the key to. It was a house owned by someone who he had known since his Hogwarts year. Before his seventh year, he had been a complete jerk to her. He was never kind to her since she was a Greyback. He had been quite the bully of anyone who had killed his parents, Greyback never had a part, but he was not a fan of him either. It wasn't until his seventh year that he saw that she was different. It was mainly due to the fact that he had gotten injured and she had healed him without a second thought. He had ended up with a cut to his arm due to an incident in class, care of magical creatures. During that year, he had also found out that she was a werewolf which wasn't a surprise to him given the last name. Despite the wolfish abilities, he had taken a liking to her as a friend. The two remained friends and even ended up as friends with benefits when Victoire broke up with him. However, it hadn't been long before she had decided that they were better off as just friends. So the two had stuck to staying friends and she had even trusted him with a key to her house. It was mostly likely a gift to him since she was a healer and he had a job that was bound to land him some injuries. Unlocking the door to the house which was dark, he walked into the house with the tip of his wand lit as he made his way to the kitchen. When he made it to the kitchen, he turned the lights on in the room and muttered, "Nox." He opened the cabinet and got out a bottle of firewhiskey, pouring a glass of it before sitting down at the table. Since the house wasn't one hidden by others, he had sat his wand on the table too just for the sake of anyone wanting to try to kill him. Ted grabbed the copy of the daily prophet off the table and began reading it as he continuously emptied and refilled the glass with firewhiskey. Jade wasn't home, probably off at St. Mungo's.
