Jacques was off to school, and while there was a lingering worry in the back of her mind for him, now was when Angi spent most of her time focused on her work. Angi had always been a hard worker, perhaps too hard, which is probably the only reason her boss kept her around. They weren't on the best of terms, but Angi was good at what she did, so she would continue to keep doing it.
But even the hardest of working bees needed a break. The weekend had graced Angi with two days to relax, and what better way than to catch up with someone who was as close to her as blood? Dominique was like a sister to her, someone she could lean on, confide in, and even when they had their differences and disagreements, they always managed to find their way back to one another, something Angi was eternally grateful for, more than Dom may ever know. So that afternoon, Angi dressed herself in a soft aqua blue sun dress, prepared some sweet coconut and chocolate macaroons, and invited Dom over for some mint and honey tea.
It was Angi's guilty pleasure. She had such a sweet tooth, she blamed her brother. Bless the little boy, he was always trying to shove the worst of foods in his sister's face. Setting everything up in the livingroom, she made sure everything was in order. Her small, quaint little cottage was tidy, neat, and clean, smelled of roses and lavender, warm tea and macaroons on the table, and-- The clock chimed, two PM. A smile pulled the corners of her lips. Dom would be there any minute, and she couldn't wait.
