we stick together 250 WORDS Rose loves her Hugo! |
Rose has this piece of her that craved the company of a certain male. She needed a laugh, she need edsome love. Rose Weasley needed her baby brother Hugo Weasley. And so, the red head managed to send a letter out inviting her younger brother to have dinner with her that night. She knew things were complicated all about, but Rose wanted to see the young male more than anything. The redhead managed to put together a laid back attire and slip away from the gates of Hogwarts. It was dangerous for a Weasley, but Rose thought it was best to live on the grounds in the castle instead of outside. She had too many she cared for inside the halls and wasn’t going to leave them defenseless. The girl took a nice moon lit walk across the grounds. It wasn’t a full moon night, but it was close, making Rose look a bit sick and worn. She took her potion but it didn’t do much for her appearance.
In village, Rose was able to disappear and reappear in Diagon Alley where she left and entered into The Leaky Cauldron. It was a place that was pretty neutral and most people just ignored each other. Rose looked around before picking up a few menus and choosing a booth. She was going to decide what she wanted to eat while she waited for her brother to arrive. The girl was jumping out of her seat in excitement just waiting for Hugo.

Unlike Rose, Hugo didn’t have as many reservations about living away from Hogwarts. In fact this particular Weasley quite preferred it. He knew there was nothing he could do to help the students. Not more than he already did that was by patching them up and telling them to keep their heads down. A Weasley didn’t have power among the Death Eaters. A Weasley that didn’t even want to chose sides definitely didn’t have any power. So he escaped to his flat in Hogsmead every night and tried not to feel like a terrible cousin for ignoring the last remains of his family lingering in the walls without him.
The flutter of an owl’s approach wasn’t anything new for Hugo these past few nights. He looked up from where he’d been busy making the package for his pen pal, smiling when he saw Rose’s owl. A few minutes later and the sleep deprived Weasley was shooing the owl back out so he could get ready for the dinner date. He quickly drank an invigoration draught to try and fight the growing fatigue from nights spent owling a girl he barely know before throwing on a casual pair of trousers and shirt. Buttoning his cloak up to fight the nights chill.
He apparated quickly to Diagon Alley, passing through the empty street before getting into the warm interior of the pub. Glancing around he smiled when he saw the splash of red hair that symbolized his sister. As he walked forward he scooted out of the way of a few patrons before he rounded on the booth, sliding in before he spoke up. ”Good evening, sis.”

Rose’s brown eyes went over the menu. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to eat. Did she want something large, or half the size of a normal serving. Eh, who was she kidding. Rose held her father’s appetite, she was going to go big and then she was going to go “home” and sleep. The red head curled a strand of her hair behind her ear. There were so many choices. Rose was currently disliking the situation. The girl continued t look before she ordered herself a firewhiskey and two glasses of water, one to accompany her firewhiskey and another for Hugo once her arrived. She knew it was a bit out of the way coming to the Leaky Cauldron, but the pub was a safe zone for them. For now. The redhead looked up when she heard the voice she missed.
Hugo and Rose didn’t see each other a whole lot in the castle. Rose was always teaching and Hugo had to tend to something, Death Eater connected or not. This way, they at least couldn’t be interrupted by someone bad guy thinking they were up to something other than dinner. The girl beamed up at her little brother. “Hugo!” she jumped out of her seat. Looking at her brother made her a bit sad. He held just as many traits as she did from their father, it was a bittersweet reminder. But she was just too over joy seeing her brother. The girl wrapped her arms around the younger Weasley and held him tight. Who knew how many more moments they’d get like this. Rose finally let him go and sat back down. A waitress came with the drinks and left. “How have you been Hugo?” She asked her brother no longer paying attention to menu.

Hugo couldn't help feeling just a bit sad when he saw his sister. She looked to much like his dad and his mum in order for him not to. He glanced at the seat mournfully but wrapped his arm around the bundle of flesh and cloth that was his sister, a light grin on his face. "Oh come on now, it hasn't been that long." Even though it had been awhile since he saw her. He took a lingering look at her before sliding into the booth as he'd planned. Yes, he might want to run from the war and never look back again but seeing his sisters worn and haggard face was enough to remind him why he remained standing.
"Oh you know, the usual. Patching up the students and trying to keep up the Wolfsbane potion for all the ones running about. Even if that new professor hasn't been asking for them." He paused as he considered her expression and leaned back in the seat. "Have you been feeling alright, sis? You look like you need a good long sleep." Even with the full moon coming around the younger Weasley wasn't going to be taking any chances with his families health. Not when he had access to enough potions, ingredients, and spells to make it better.

That was what life was going to be. Looking at each other and mirroring expression and emotion because of what they both saw in each other. Each was a reminder to each other of what they once held, once what they were. Now both, Hugo and Rose were left in enemy territory trying to cope and trying to survive. They had their families of course. But immediate? They only had each other at the moment and they could not forget that, nor let it go. Yet, some days, the sadness would be strong and at this moment, she felt it. “Hogwarts makes it feel as such.” She gave her brother a look.
“New professor, not asking for their potion? Are we referring to myself, or is there another of concern?” Rose was quite proper and old soul in the way she spoke. She spoke like someone from the past and held an air of time about herself. The woman looked at her brother. He was a healer. He knew the signs. Just looking at her he could tell the full moon was close, despite the makeup and try for a bright personality in the darkness. The redhead sighed. “It’s a curse for a reason little brother.” She shrugged. She thought it was worth it, even if she couldn’t get to her father in time. She tried and he got to see her one last time. Rose was there in front of Ron. She saw him, he saw her. Rose liked to think he saw some sort of peace seeing her fight for life and justice before the light in his eyes went out. Even if she was in a sticky situation, he had to know she’d get other. “I’m fine, nothing a bottle of whiskey and some wolfsbane couldn’t fix, right?” She gave him a wink.
