So a little blurb about Angi's family so you know what you're getting into. <3
Not quite so simple, a little bit complicated, really. <3 Now! To the want ads!
Jacques --- Delacroix
eleven --- Hufflepuff --- Pureblood --- Chandler Riggs
Face claim is totally optional, but I would like the name to keep due to the significance of Jac being named after Louis' brother.
This is Jacques, "Jac" Delacroix. He is Angelique's sun and moon and stars. Jac is Angi's earth and sky, he means everything to her. Jac is the only family Angi feels she has left, and so she pours all of her love and devotion into caring for him. After the death of their mother, and the disappearance of their father, Jac was left in Angi's care as his legal guardian, and she works to give him everything he could want. From a young age she's always been a protective big sister, always trying to keep him down the right path, instilling in him good morals and values like their father did. Jac would be a bright kid, very friendly, and oblivious to the war due to Angi trying to shelter him. But with him at his first year of Hogwarts, that's bound to change.
Peter --- Delacroix II
forty-eight --- Pureblood --- Hugh Jackman
Peter is the spitting image of his father in every way. Tall, dark, handsome, and everything a good pureblood should aspire to be. He's vicious, ruthless, cunning, and calculating. And his family means everything to him, because when his father dies, he becomes patriarch. So he takes keeping the blood line pure very seriously. Upon coming to England, he would have found his way into the Death Eater circles, and very likely pledged himself. He's a supremacist and a purist through and through and doesn't hesitate to get blood on his hands to show it.
Marisol --- Delacroix (nee ---)
forty-five --- Pureblood --- Famke Janssen
Meet Marisol. She's a beautiful woman whom Peter looks at as more his partner than just his wife. The two are so like minded, they are virtually one. While most arranged marriages tend to be rocky, these two make it work because they balance one another. As ruthless and cunning as Peter is, his wife Marisol is deceitful and well connected. She's a master of the game of politics and knows how to get her way around to connect to all the right people. Like Peter, she's a purist and a supremacist. There is no hiding it, as that is also how she raised her children.
Asce --- Delacroix
twenty-seven --- Pureblood --- Gaspard Ulliel
Asce, it means 'noble one' in French. And that is how Ace was raised. Like his father, his grandfather, and ever heir before him, he was born, bred, raised a purist. He often hears "you are your father's son" more times than he can count. Like his father, he's calculating, vicious, and has no limits on how far he'd go to protect his family name. Or at least he thought he did, until he met his target. The entire purpose of coming to the UK was to dispose of the half-veela Delacroix, and cart Jacques Delacroix back home where he belonged. But the moment Ace laid eyes on Angelique, it was the first time in his life he hesitated. Ace is confused, but convinced he could not kill this woman, his cousin, because he is in love with her.
Celestine --- Delacroix
twenty-three --- Pureblood --- Anne Hathaway
Imagine everything you assume a pureblood princess would be. Spoiled? Self-righteous? Manipulative? Well you would be right. Celestine is everything and more. For the past twenty-three years, Celestine has been the youngest of the Delacroix family, so naturally she's been spoiled and pampered her entire life. Every want and whim was met without hesitation. To say Celestine grew up with a silver spoon would be an under statement. More like a golden spoon. The girl never had to work for anything in her life, it was always handed to her. She's not as radical as her family on being a purist, but she won't deny, there are some mighty attractive men here in the UK. And if she can find a pureblood man to take care of her as her father took care of her mother, she'll find this whole trip a success.
The Delacroix family is a respected, and highly regarded pureblood name in France. For generations that span over hundreds of years, the Delacroix family has prided themselves on being the 'purest family in France'. Not once has there been a stray child birthed to the family that was not of pureblood decent. At least until twenty years ago.
Louis Delacroix was the youngest son of three to Monsieur Peter Delacroix, the patriarch of the family, and Madam Eloise Delacroix, his wife. Louis, and his two older brothers, Jacques and Peter II, were brought up close with one another. They were raised believing in purist traditions. Peter II took this to heart the most, while Jacques was on the fence, stuck between his two brothers. But Louis, he did not agree with the teachings. Louis found his way to religion, believing all men were equal, so he could not agree with some men being superior to others.
This caused friction in the family. Peter II and Louis always fought, catching Jacques in the middle. This was the entirety of their childhood.
When Peter II was old enough, he did what all heirs were to do. He immediately took a wife of similar value, and raised their children to understand how things SHOULD be. Jacques followed shortly after. But there was a minor hiccup.
When Jacques was married, he had his marriage arranged. He did not love this woman, nor did she love him. This caused a lot of tension in the household, enough for Jacques to snap, and Jacques had an affair. It was a one night occurrence. But one night was all it took for this half-blood woman to conceive Jacques' child.
Jacques later confessed this to his brother, Peter II, over a night of heavy drinking, which proved to be his fatal mistake.
Some weeks later, the half-blood woman carrying Jacques' child was found murdered.
The Delacroix family only allowed the purest of blood in their line.
Skip ahead some years, and it was finally Louis' turn to marry. But he refused. He vehemently fought against marriage, insisting he had a calling. He needed to explore, research, and he would settle down and marry after. Peter and Eloise did not like this, but could not fight him. Their hands were tied as Louis left.
But what they did not know was during Louis' travels, he met a woman whom he fell so maddeningly in love with, he did not realize until it was too late he was infatuated with a veela.
Rosaline was the most beautiful woman Louis had ever met. And he knew from the moment he saw her, he wanted to be with her. It wasn't until after they had spent many months together did he learn what she was. And he didn't care. Because at that time, she was taken with his child.
But it did not take long for the Delacroix family to learn that their youngest son had conceived not only a child out of marriage, but also a half-breed with a creature. So they sent out their hunters. It wasn't until after Angi's birth did they manage to locate them, and all they found was the grave of Angi's mother, whom died during child birth. Louis and the child were gone.
Louis traveled all across France, hiding under the radar with his daughter to run from his family to wanted to see them killed to 'preserve the family name'. It took a few close calls, but when Angelique was eight, Louis finally moved to London, wiping away any trace of him or his daughter from France and essentially cutting off their trail.
Ten years they lived peacefully in Great Britain where Louis met another woman, and remarried, having a second child, Angelique's little brother Jacques.
For six years the family lived peacefully. Angelique had started Hogwarts, and Louis, his wife Sophia, cared and loved Jacques. It was when Jacques was six did Sophia get sick, and passed away, leaving Louis alone to care for his two children. He was more than capable, but losing the two women he loved most in his life took their toll on him.
Eight years later, after Angelique had graduated from Hogwarts and started her position at the Ministry, Louis vanished without a trade, leaving Jacques alone with her to care for him. There was no note, no letters, nothing. Leaving his two children very very confused. What they didn't know was that with Jacques starting Hogwarts, a storm had brewed in France.
Word had crawled through the grapevine that there was a pureblood boy by the name of Delacroix starting in the English school, which caught the attention of the family who, for nearly a decade now, assumed Louis and his child was dead. This was the break they needed.
With Eloise and Peter too old to hunt themselves, they did the logical thing. They sent their oldest, Peter II and his family, to England, to find this Delacroix boy, and dispose of anyone else. They cared not for Louis, his firstborn, or anyone he was with. Jacques, Louis' son, was a rightful pureblood heir to the family. And they wanted him 'home'.
So now, Peter II, his wife, and their two sons roam the streets of Great Britain looking for the missing line of the Delacroix family.
