Kaitlyn Lily Sanders |
[attr="class","boxy"]Kaitlyn Lily Sanders was born on November 18, 2007. According to her grandparents her mother died while giving birth to her, and her father left Kaitlyn in the hospital instead of taking her home. The hospital tried contacting the father but to no avail. So they contacted an orphanage and the orphanage took her in. No one could adopt her because her biological father was still alive. The orphanage tried to find her father but they couldn't find him, no matter how hard they tried. Kaitlyn knew they were trying their best, but she already thought she was too old to be adopted. She watched as families looked at babies and toddlers, but never children her age (primary and up).
Luckily for Kaitlyn she was able to make friends and lasting relationships with them. Some of them would be moved but they would always keep in touch. But that all changed when the staff at the orphanage said that her father also had passed away years ago. That was why they couldn't find him. They tried to cheer her up telling her that she was going to be adopted anytime now, but she didn't believe them, she knew she was already too old to be adopted. She was going to be in secondary school the next year. That was also the year that she somewhat decided to shut everyone out. She felt that she could never be loved by anyone now, but of course that was not true.
Kaitlyn may have shut people out but she was rather good with her studies. Many of the couples that come in find it very impressive that she was doing so well in school. Of course she made some friends at school but she never really opened up to them about her private life. They would ask about her parents but she would stop talking and try to move on to a different topic. Kaitlyn was also bullied a lot while she was at school, so in order to protect herself physically she decided to learn how to defend herself if she ever needed to.
While she was working on homework in her room with her roommate she saw something strange. Her roommate went to a school far away, and she only came back for the holidays. She asked the girl what she was doing and saw that she was reading a book with a very long title. She had never seen anything like it. She asked her roommate if she could read it, also but she was denied. She shrugged it off and went on to do her homework. One night, she was up late and saw heard something strange coming from her trunk. She was going to ask her roommate about it but she was already asleep. Kaitlyn decided to find things out for herself. She walked over to her trunk and flipped it open, quietly, and something jumped out at her. Kaitlyn shrieked as she scrambled for the light switch to their room. When the lights were on she saw a strange contraption. The way her roommate reacted to what she saw made Kaitlyn question where her roommate went to school.
The next day she badgered her with questions, wondering how such a thing worked. Kaitlyn had a mind of a scientist, she wanted to know how it worked. She was asking so many questions that her roommate decided to tell her about the wizarding world. Already fourteen she was afraid that her roommate was completely mental, but her roommate showed her proof. Her roommate was already seventeen and showed her a simple but wonderful spell that made birds appear from that stick that she called a wand. She as amazed how such a thing actually existed. The two of them became even closer, until one day she went missing. No one had any idea about where her whereabouts are and she was worried. Her roommate was one of her closest friends and she was impacted by her being missing, she closed herself off even more, even though she knew that it wasn't her roommate's fault that she was missing.
A year later she had her first boyfriend, it started off great, but he later plagiarized one of her papers so that he can earn an A. It was the rich boy's word against an orphaned girl's words. Even though she was the one who earned one of the best grades in the school the faculty decided to go on the word of a cheater. Her boyfriend broke up with her after that and she closed herself off even more. After about two years she fell in love again, but her second boyfriend only wanted her to make someone jealous, to get someone's attention. She hated it and when she found out she broke up with him before he could break up with her. She closed herself off even more, if that was even possible.
Now that she's twenty she has been living with a roommate in a flat. The two of them got along fine, just talked about their day and such, nothing personal, well at least for Kaitlyn. She never talked about anything personal with her, only one friend whom she knew she could trust. She thought that friend wasn't to be trusted but she managed to prove Kaitlyn wrong by telling her if someone was going to hurt her in anyway, she also did the same for her friend, but sometimes both of them wouldn't listen to the other and find out for themselves. She liked her life the way it was now, until the name of her roommate back in the orphanage showed up in a newspaper. She took it and read that she was in this prison called Azkaban. She had no idea where that was and she really wanted to see her friend again. Kaitlyn has been searching for a way to go to this prison ever since, and is still searching. She finally has help now that she's a member of the Witch Hunters
