“ THAT BLOODY HURTS YOU BRAINLESS IMP. “
The yelling came from the hospital wing where Paige was being treated because her back was set on fire by a death eater. A punishment for not using a curse on an eleven year old. The healer was doing all he could to help her and she knew that but could you blame her for feeling the pain? It did hurt very badly and no she wasn’t going to act like it was all roses and moonshine. Paige was damn hurt and she felt like she had all the rights to say it out loud if she wished.
The mere idea of getting back at those death eaters made a light shine in her eyes. Its true that she joined the guardians pure for getting back at them and protect the little ones but it is also true that she doesn’t know any of these people in this group of students. The only one she knows is matty and that is also just because he lived right across the street. Paige often got herself more into trouble than she asked for but she didn’t mind, it kept the young ones safe for now.
The girl tried not to scream as alcohol touched the burns on her back. The healer mumbled something about a potion he needed and left off. The prick.. not even CONSIDERING the idea of having those potions in stock! These death eaters didn’t seem to function on brain content and she even saw that with the headmaster. He barely showed his face and when he did he was surrounded by bodies to protect him. Imagine him being killed by a student! she thought with sarcasm in her voice and the annoyance faded when the pain did as well.
Not touching the back seemed to be a good thing, as well as the cold air coming from the windows. Paige looked up when she heard footsteps, male, around her age. Not the healer she expected. The dark haired female wondered who would show up here without a reason and then it hit her that they may have heard her screams of pain and annoyance. Paige though didn’t expect the “ fearless leader” from the guardians showing his face.
She didn’t know him well and though she didn’t really mind his company the pain was killing her. “ good afternoon. “ she spoke calmly though the calm tone really took effort. Paige looked at the other beds, most were young kids who were recovering from curses or broken bones. Even Quidditch wasn’t fun to watch sometimes. Every little pain just seemed to be so close to home, Paige couldn’t stand looking at it. The girl turned back to the Gryffindor, her hands holding the edge of the bed.
She was covered up well enough to be in plain view. She still wore her jeans and some paper shirt thing with an open back. The remains of her school uniform were steaming in a bucket and a sigh escaped her lungs and lips. “ What brings you here. Your Majesty. “ she joked and wanted to show him that she could be a fun person, even when in pain.
