”THE LIFE OF ARIK B. WATERS”

Arik Burton Waters was born October 13th, 1949 to Elizabeth and Jerry Waters. The Waters was an established pure-blood family with ties to the Ministry of Magic, many of the Waters went on to work at the Ministry and, most of them were traditionally Ravenclaws, with some Slytherins as well. Elizabeth worked as Head of the Department of Magical Education at the time while Jerry was a Senior Auror tasked with guarding the Minister sometimes. Arik grew up as a single child but had wealth at his fingertips at such a young age, the Waters family had a considerable amount of wealth, but also knew how to stretch a galleon. At the age of eleven Arik was sent to Hogwarts where he was sorted into Ravenclaw house considering the tradition of the Waters family being Ravenclaws. Arik took his studies seriously right from the start and so did his parents, insisting he study over breaks as well when he came home. Throughout his entire Hogwarts years, Arik never played on the Qudditch team nor played it that much ever, spending his free time studying and practicing spells, potions etc.

In his fifth year Arik become a prefect for his good grades, he took a particular interest in Charms, Defense against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration. He passed his OWLS in his fifth year with an E in every class with only two A’s for COMC, and Herbology. In 1966 Arik graduated from Hogwarts and his father immediately pressed him to become an Auror something almost all Waters did when they joined the Ministry. However; Arik longed for travel around the world and that is what he did setting off to the Americas where he met up with a friend named Gerald Shaw, who had graduated a few years before him. He and Gerald agreed to travel the world with each other and for the next few years they went to Italy, France, Egypt, Ireland, even to New Zealand. In 1971 he returned to England to start training to become an Auror after his dad cleared a spot for him. By the age of 24 in 1973 Arik become an Auror after two years of training.

Arik quickly stood out among other Aurors not because of his name but, how serious he took the job and how much potential and skills he showed. There was a hunger for power that sat in Arik, but instead of wanting to help evil, he wanted to become the Head Auror one day. At the age of 27 he started learning Legilimentcy to help aid in him as a job as an Auror along with the fight against Lord Voldemort. Arik officially joined the order in 1973 after becoming an Auror, his dad was also a member of the Order but was killed in action for the Aurors in 1977, when Arik was 28. The death hurt him a lot but, broke his mother who eventually declined and died by a broken heart within the next six months. He threw himself into his work and the Order as well by the age of thirty in 1979 he married a woman named Cassandra Joy Hensel a former Hufflepuff who worked at the Ministry in the Department of International Magical Cooperation. After the fall of Voldemort they had twin sons who gave them grandkids at young age, but Arik did not care he saw it as continuance of the Waters family and the legacy of them.

In 1982 at the age of 33, Arik became a Senior Auror and earned a reputation as a tough on crime Auror who put many in Azkaban and some to the Dementors kiss as well. In 1986, Arik was named Head Auror after 13 years of being an Auror. It was one of the shortest time frames in rise to Head Auror some said because of his name, others alluded it to his skills, but a quiet group claimed Arik had blackmailed, and eliminated opposition for the promotion. His wife worked as the Assiaint Head of her department and they instantly became a power couple, and it was starting to become known that Arik and his wife had bigger plans for their careers and family. At the start of second wizarding war when Voldemort returned Arik fought Fudge on if Voldemort had returned. He allowed Aurors to use the Unforgivable curses in extreme circumstances and entered the field more often to assist his fellow Aurors. After the sacking Fudge, Arik stayed as Head Auror and gained more influence as Rufus gave him more direct power and allowed the Aurors to use other extreme measures to capture Death Eaters.

Arik was a member of the Order for the second wizarding war just as the first and was hurt when Dumbledore was killed considering the man one of great wisdom and but thought he lacked action at times. He was present for the Battle of Hogwarts and after the fall of the Ministry at the age of fifty, Arik was promoted to Assistant Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He had been Head Auror for over a decade an Auror for 26 years. He earned a reputation as a Head Auror who always backed his Aurors up and led the office with an iron fist requiring only the best of the best to be Aurors. In 2013, at the age of 64 Arik was promoted to the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement his wife was promoted to the Head of her department in 2010. He took more control then any of his previous predecessors of the Auror office and offices induivally, but not to the full point of micro-managing. Waters earned another reputation of stepping out of bounds with the power of his position, along with pushing the law as far as he could. Around 2018 it started to become known and reported in the Daily Prophet that Arik was mulling a run for Minister.

He never did the run but it has become a goal for his, in 2021 he started laying groundwork to take on Kingsley to become Minister. His wife whipped up support among leaders of other Ministry of Magic’s around the world while Arik wooed Professors, and wealthy members of society. However in 2023 the third wizarding war started with the attack on the Ministry that become the fall of the Ministry. A son of Ariks died in the Ministry he was a Hit Wizard, while other members of the Waters family were at the Waters Manor. However the wife of Arik’s oldest son was a Professor at Hogwarts and was killed when Hogwarts fell under the Death Eater Control. Not much is fully known about what happened the next night after the fall of the Ministry expect that explosions, flashes of lights and eventually a fire were seen and heard at the Waters Family Manor.

The entire manor had been engulfed in flames, and witness say a group of people in dark cloaks left the grounds right after the fire broke out. The bodies of 7 people were found in the Waters Mansion, burned so badly by the magical fire the identities could never be dertiminted. However at the time the DP, and other places reported that the Waters Family had been killed. Arik, his wife, their son, and four grandkids. Over the last three years some doubts have been raised if Arik Waters truly was in the house or even if his family was, and sightings of Arik lead to him be declared “Possibly Alive”, while his other family members were declared “Dead”. Arik now spends his time traveling country to country staying away from the Americas his family is in hiding protected by his long-time friend and fellow former Auror Gerald. He has again joined the Order for a third time this time as an accomplished skilled wizard, the former Head of MLE, skilled Legilimenes and at Non-Verbal Magic as well. He hates the Death Eaters as he lost his, power, influence and chance of becoming Minister because of them, he wants revenge on them all it’s personal this time as well since his youngest son and daughter-in law were killed.
