”I WILL DO WHATEVER I NEED TO DO PROTECT THE YVES NAME…” Potions had always been a subject that came easy to the death eater always in her young years during Hogwarts and even beyond. She had learned potions that were so advanced she stood out at work, which helped her earn her promotion few years back. It was also the reason why her husband had never even seen it coming to him that she had spiked his drink the night before with a slow moving poison. He never had really thought truly that his own loving wife would go as far as killing him, the father of her own children, and a husband of more than three decades. The tall woman made her way down the streets of Knockturn Alley having visited a small potion shop earlier for some more unsavory ingredients, but she needed more than just those. Waters could be walking these streets right now the thought danced its way into Alia’s mind as she started making her way into Diagon Alley.
She knew she should not start to let her thoughts worry too much about the current issue at hand, or it would overtake her life. Letting it overtake her, and run her emotions will create mistakes and open herself up for more vulnerabilities. No she needed to be in control, the fate of the name of Yves rested upon her shoulders until she drew her last breath from this earth. ”I have an order to pick up, Alia Yves”spoke Alia as she walked into the potion shop and looked at the sales clerk who went to the back to retrieve the order, as Alia wandered around the shop looking at additional items.

` angelique delacroix: tag;; @alia Angi could have kicked herself for this. Of all the things. Normally, Angi prided herself on her sharp wit and memory. She felt it was one of her stronger assets. But with Jac just starting school, things were hectic, and through the rush of getting him prepared she missed one of the most vital, important things on his school list.
It was a rookie mistake she had never made before, and she cursed herself for slipping up.
She forgot his cauldren.
And once she received a letter from Jac, she immediately rushed to get him one. Her old cauldren was ten years old, and far too worn and weathered for Jac to use. So she needed to get him a new one for his potions class, or he'd fall behind. And she worked too hard instilling the importance of his education into him for him to slip up in his first year because she forgot something!
As she rushed through the street, her eyes darted around until she found the shop, but something caught her eye shortly before she entered.
Madam Yves? she thought to herself, her eyes widening. She never did well seeing her coworkers outside of work, because it was incredibly awkward given the vibe she got from them. She knew they were all involved in the war in some way, and she wasn't, which made for painfully awkward conversations and situations with her.
Swallowing hard, she straightened herself up, entering the shop as she slunk around the side where the cauldrons were kept. She debated on lingering and waiting for Alia to leave, but she decided against it last moment, stepping up behind the woman and plastering a smile on her face. Always happy to see people, right?
"Afternoon, Madam Yves." she murmured softly, to avoid startling the woman.

”YES I KILLED MY HUSBAND, SO WHAT?” She returned her focus from additional items back to the counter as the shop keeper had come back from the back with two boxes. Filled with different ingredients and materials for potion making as well as a few other items. She opened her black handbag and took out some galleons and placed them upon the counter giving the man a smile before closing her handbag once more. ”Oh I almost forgot, do you have any unicorn blood on hand?” asked Alia giving a small smile to the man, her voice was cool and calm as always. The woman of good height wearing, her high heels bore confidence from her pores, as she watched the man give a puzzled look but retreated to the back as she stepped closer to the counter. Good boy thought Alia with a slight smile and then she slowly turned around as she could hear someone greet her, by “Madam Yves”. Out of everyone she would run into out and about it would be a co-worker and not even her favorite one, Amos.
Angelique Delacroix was her name, and she wasn’t a bad Unspeakable, in fact she was talented and skilled at her work. It was one of the reasons she was one of the only actual neutral person in her department. Most of them were fellow death eaters, she knew the young woman was not which did not make her feel niceness too. ”Hello Angelique, I didn’t see you there. Just picking up a cauldron?” asked Alia eyeing the cauldron in the hands of her employee. Our shop attendant is taking his time thought Alia realizing the young man had not yet returned from his looking for unicorn blood in the back.

Angi wasn't sure what compelled her to greet the woman. Perhaps it was fear? What if she noticed Angi avoiding her? That would look mighty suspicious. If not at the very least rude. Or perhaps curiosity? She wanted to see what the woman was picking up? Or maybe she was just feeling particularly courteous, and she wanted to make a kind gesture to remain on the woman's good side. It was hard to tell, but that lovely smile remained as the woman turned to greet her.
"Oh, yes Madam. It is for Jacques. He finally started Hogwarts zis year. He says he wants to be an Unspeakable in ze Ministry already at 'is age." she laughed softly, her accent still thick. "And 'ow are ju, today? Ju look lovely, as always. I 'ave always wondered where ju get such beautif'l shoes." she paused, glancing down at the woman's shoes.
It was no surprise Alia had expensive tastes, she was an important woman with an important job and thought highly of herself. And it showed in the way she dressed and carried herself. Angi couldn't afford nearly the cost of what Alia had, but it didn't stop the younger woman from admiring.

”I WILL DO WHATEVER I NEED TO DO PROTECT THE YVES NAME…” Alia prided herself on more than just being a Death Eater and being of a pureblood family, her work and the way the department ran was something to take great pride in. She gave a warm smile at the younger lady when she spoke of her little brother already wanting to be an Unspeakable. At such a young age wonderful thought Alia seeing as it better than being an Auror. A word of magical kids inspiring to be an Unspeakable when they grew up, she would highly take credit for that world one day. ”That is wonderful to hear, does he need anything else for the class? I’d be happy to give him some of my potion books or one my potion kits. You must be very proud, what house is he dear?” asked Alia rather interested in her employees younger brother. Family was very important to Alia, seeing as how she saw herself as the Matriarch of the Yves family now.
She gave another smile as the younger woman proceeded to compliment her on how she looked, and even her shoes. She didn’t see it truly as fake or kissing up, in fact the woman seemed genuine in what she said. It was true Alia did have fancy taste for her clothes and, since she had money it was no problem getting the best ones around. ”Thank you Angelique, you look beautiful as always. You are blessed with the Veela beauty” smiled Alia unlike her other Death Eaters she didn’t see half-breeds as inferior in fact more of a step up, a different method to help them. She turned around as the young shop attendant came back with a small vial wrapped in cloth and handed it to Alia as she gave him more Galleons. ”I hope Jacques continues to inspire to be an Unspeakable, however I am certain he has a bright future either way he goes” said Alia in a calm and pleasant tone as she turned back around to face Angelique.

` angelique delacroix: tag;; @alia If Angi's mother hadn't been a veela, it was likely she would have been a pureblood like her brother, and her life would have been much different. She would have been raised differently, had different friends, priorities, and would probably not be who she was. And she possibly would have been married by now, with children, certainly not an Unspeakable. To an extent, Angi considered herself lucky she was never swept up in such madness. It was completely illogical to her.
Just as illogical as the thought of an eleven year old boy wanting to be an Unspeakable before he could even fully grasp the concept of what his sister did for a living. It was certainly not a decision for an eleven year old to make. But Alia seemed pleased, even thrilled at the prospect of Jac having decided so early what he wanted to do, and while it made Angi extremely nervous, she maintained her smile and offered the woman in front of her a nod.
"Jacques was sorted into ze 'ufflepuff 'ouse, yes. I am so very proud of 'im. 'e is aware of 'ow very important 'is studies are, so 'e is working very hard. 'e knows 'ow challenging and demanding my job can be, so 'e 'as a long road in front of 'im." She paused a moment, realizing how thick her accent was becoming the more she spoke. Something about Alia so interested in Jac put her on edge for some reason, but she brushed it off as she turned her attention back to the woman's shoes as she spoke of them before complimenting Angi herself.
"Ju are so kind, zank ju." she smiled wide. "It will only last for so long, zough. I just 'ope zat I can age as beautifully and gracefully as ju, madam. Just as fine French Romanée Conti wine." Romanée Conti was the most expensive Pinot Noir in France, herald as the best tasting red wine in the world, like drinking "velvet and satin from a bottle." It was a high compliment in France.

”KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS MY DEAR…” The house of Hufflepuff, it was not the house she was ever fond of however she could not deny that the house of Helga Hufflepuff produced some of the most loyalist and hardest workers around. She was the one who preached equality among the founders of Hogwarts, willing to take all the students, and tech them and treat them as equal she would say. In fact Alia was very much different than most Death Eaters in the end, her loyalty was to herself and the name of Yves, he family before such petty wars spilling huge amounts of magical blood. ”Good for him, loyalty and honesty are important traits to have in the world, plus he is in the house of those willing to work hard. Congratulations my dear” spoke Alia her tone still pleasant, almost showing some more realness to it that she had meant what she had just said. ”Family is the most important thing in the world, wouldn’t you agree?” asked Alia, without knowing she was rubbing her ring finger, where the ring her late husband had proposed to her with.
She smiled at the next compliment that she received and gave a nice chuckle about the comment of aging with beauty like the Romanée Conti wine. She gave a little sigh, she had not had a bottle of that fine wine since her honeymoon decades ago. She had notice that Angelique had quite the thick French accent as she spoke, an accent Alia no longer had or least had gotten rid of it. Her family had moved to London just when she was barely eight years old but, she had always loved France. ”I am sure you will, Romanée Conti…makes me miss my childhood visiting my grandparents Vineyard in France. It’s been since my honeymoon I had that perfect wine” said Alia giving a small smile and shook her head, as it was hard to speak of the honeymoon. Looking down for a second she rubbed the ring finger once more, this time on purpose. ”Well I have various books on different subjects if Jacques needs any extra help, please don’t hesitate to ask. Our children are our future” spoke Alia giving a warm smile to the younger Unspeakable.
