the dark of ages past.
ever since the death eaters had taken over hogwarts and the muggleborns cleared out, lindir had been able to breathe easier and enjoy himself more at school. he was usual a civil person, but he disliked muggleborns and having their presence around made him a not so polite person by giving them brusque glances and avoiding them so that he didn't need to exchange demeaning words with them. well, he had been the kinder blood purist, but he still considered it rude to avoid people and be curt with them like that. unfortunately, he wasn't given a choice. he didn't want to socialize with mudbloods, for he had been taught to hate, resent, and scorn their presence, and he very much did. he wasn't going to back down from that, but it did make him uncomfortable knowing that he had to act so callous to other human beings. and he blamed it on them. and now that they were no longer here, he could be freely courteous to everyone. lindir was courteous to most people, even if they did not share his beliefs. he was just like that. but then again, it was easier to be nice to others when he knew he was on the winning side, and he wasn't afraid to speak his mind and be cold himself if anyone outright insulted him for his beliefs. he didn't mind if someone civilly challenged him, though, because he'd just respond calmly and casually back.
anyway, after lunch lindir decided to head to the library to read. he was a studious slytherin and was ambitious when it came to education and intellect. reading was definitely one of his favorite hobbies. the young man had chosen a book pertaining to history on one of the shelves and thus sat down one of the tables with his book, reading it. history might be considered boring to others, but it actually fascinated lindir. he was interested in what happened in the past concerning the world of wizardry and its prominent figures. he couldn't explain why it interested him so, but it did. that was good, though. at least he remained alive during history classes.
