let the flames begin

Eric is a muggle but knows more about the wizarding world than most. He's known about it since the day he was born, really, though he never thought much about it. It was just kind of there, for the most part. No one in his immediate family were witches or wizards but being related to the late and great Harry Potter meant he still learned all about it. He did his best to ignore it, though, for the most part, but when the Death Eaters came back that's when it all changed. He was seventeen when Death Eaters came and killed his family. Luckily for him, he wasn't home at the time. He was out with his boyfriend at the time. Police contacted him while he was out and he knew right away what had happened. A week later, he moved, completely breaking contact with his muggle friends, including his boyfriend who he had been dating for two years. He hasn't seen any of them since. He became a gunsmith at eighteen and joined the Witch Hunters at nineteen, figuring he might as well. There was nothing else left for him, right? He doesn't really have friends anymore, mostly focusing on his work, but he's still a friendly guy. He's just scared to make friends because losing his family was the most painful thing he'd ever been through... and then losing his friends and boyfriend as well? He doesn't want to go through that again. So he's friendly but reluctant to let people in. Which makes him lonely.

Tate may be a Slytherin but he is an absolute cupcake. I just can't make Harry Styles mean okay mean Harry only exist when his boyfriend makes him jealous *ahem* He adores magical creatures of all kinds. In fact, that's his favorite class and the only one he always does his homework for (on time, at least). He's not very well liked by most of the other Slytherins because... well, he's a pacifist who just wants to cuddle all the time. He's very handsy when people let him be except with his best friend, Luke, because... just because. Reasons. His parents are Death Eaters. His whole family is composed of Death Eaters or those that were killed for not becoming Death Eaters. Tate's parents want him to get the Dark Mark but so far he's been able to avoid it, using the excuse that he could be a better spy for the Death Eaters if he didn't have the Mark. However, his parents are starting to put more pressure on him to be what they want him to be and he's scared shitless about what they'll do when they find out that he hates all things that have to do with the Dark Arts.

Josh hates having his shirt off unless it's with Pete but he's hot af so yolo Josh is a trouble soul. It seems like almost nothing goes right in his life. The only positive in his life is, and always has been, his best friend and fiance, Pete. Without Pete he would literally be dead. They've been friends since their teenage years and have been engaged for just under a year... which is also the amount of time they have both been free of drugs and alcohol. Josh was worse than Pete when it came to drugs. When doctors and therapists would ask what drugs he did, he would just bluntly reply with "more like what drugs didn't I do." He's overdose a total of three times and was technically dead every time. He's been to rehab twice and was kicked out the first time for violence and sneaking drugs in. He not suffers from anxiety and depression, as well as an easily triggered temper, and doctors have told him that if he overdoses one more time, chances are he won't make it. He's on a mood stabilizer and an antidepressant, used to be on Ativan, too, until he started to abuse that, and started working with the Witch Hunters when he was twenty-one.
