[attr="class","EWcontainer2temp1"] Lily just could not sleep. She already had trouble sleeping due to nightmares so she was use to staying up all night really. Some nights Lily had prefect duties so she would have to roam the castle searching for students out of bed. Tonight was not one of those nights. She had gone to bed at a reasonable hour after studying and yet sleep eluded her. She had no idea why. She had taken the potions that her mother had made for her but yet no sleep. Maybe it was time for her to get a stronger sleep potion. Her body would adjust to what she was taking after a while and her mother would have to tweak the potion to make it a little stronger. Lily was never any good at potions, no matter how much she tried. She figured she got that from her father.

She finally decided to get up out of bed. She wasn’t going to fall asleep right now so the best thing was for her to just get up and walk around some. That might actually make her tired. She went into the common room leaving her roommates snoring and having pleasant dreams. Lily smiled wishing she was like that right now. It would be nice not having to worry about when you would fall asleep and how you would be the next day if you didn’t get enough sleep. She sighed and sat on a couch in the common room. She stared into the fire that burned. It was only September so it wasn’t too cold outside but the Hufflepuff common room was in another part of the dungeons near the kitchens so it was cold a lot down here. Another reason she hated potions beside she wasn’t good at it. If she could she would make sure that in her sixth year she didn’t have to take potions. She didn’t think what she wanted to do require her to keep taking it.

Lily wanted to become a reporter at the daily prophet. She wanted to write for a living, even work on writing her own book and drawing/designing the front cover. That wasn’t her parent’s ideal job for her but it was what she wanted to do. She never told anyone that before and it scared her a little about going for it because she didn’t know if everyone would think she was good at it. She just had to get over that though because she wasn’t supposed to care about what others thought. She sighed as she stared into the fireplace. She still wasn’t getting sleepy so she decided to go look at the stars in the astronomy tower. It was something that she liked to do and though she had went yesterday after her patrol another visit wouldn’t hurt at all.

She went back into her dorm and put on some clothes and shoes. She knew her brothers would hate it if she roamed the castle at night in her pjs. Heck her dad would hate it as well. She put on a yellow t-shirt with some blank shorts. Yes she realized those were the colors of her house but they were the closest thing she could grab. She put on some sneakers and headed on out of the dorm and through the common room. She made it out of the common room without waking anyone up. She made her way up to the astronomy tower making sure not to run into any prefects. She didn’t want to get caught herself being a prefect and all. She made it to the seventh floor and quietly made her way up to the top of the tower. She went over to the edge and sat down like she loved doing. Hardly anyone ever came up there so there was a good chance she would.be alone.
