I have finally seen the light , And I have finally realized what you mean Alixander had heard from his brother recently. And rare as it was to do so, Alixander felt like it was about time to go back in and see his family. He got off of work for a day to go to hogsmeade and visit Tobias. It was on the younger man's terms, and that was fine. Xander and Tobias never really saw eye to eye where a lot of things were concerned, but he still did care for the younger brother. Xander walked through the village, remember the last time he was here. He wondered, absently, if victoire was around. It'd been a while since he met up with her too. which is good and bad. Bad because it meant he hasn't heard from a friend, but good because that meant the kids at the school were doing okay. Or rather, didn't need to be extracted.
Xander walked into the three broomsticks and nodded to the bartender, taking a seat at a table and checking his watch. He was handed a water, as Xander didn't really drink anymore. He watched the door, not wanting to spend too much time here. Even though he knew he had to catch up with the younger man, despite their differences. Besides, who knew what his parents had to say to the both of them.

COME LITTLE LIGHT come away to the darkness Tobias hadn't spoken to his big brother for weeks and a three days previous he had received an owl from his mother... asking him to find out what Alix was up to. Of course Toby really didn't like to trick his brother into meeting him just so he could spy and relay back to his mother what was going on in the life of Alixander Warrington. So instead he decided to ignore his mothers owl and decided that he would just meet his brother for a general catch up and conveniently 'forget' to relay information back to their parents.
He had asked Alix to meet him in the three brooms for a drink but he was sure that their meeting really wouldn't last all that long... they never did these days. It seemed that the two of them had drifted even further apart lately due to their different beliefs in how the Wizarding world should be. Toby was firmly still believing in what his parents were telling him whereas Alix had been brave enough to venture away from the concrete beliefs of the Warrington family and go it alone... something that deep down Toby was jealous of.
He walked casually into the three brooms and ordered himself a drink, he then headed on over to his brothers table and sat down. "Hey Alix. How have you been?" he asked casually. | WORDS: xxx SHORT NOTES |

I have finally seen the light , And I have finally realized what you mean
Alixander was... more or less a good son to their parents. He went to their events when they blackmailed him, if they sent him letters he replied with the default answers. He was responsive, at least. Always keeping a connection there, but that was about it. He didn't want to and inwardly he didn't share their ideals, even if he wanted to be with them as a family, there was no way. He found the way they look at human beings ridiculous and plain inhumane. There was still a lot of opportunity for the whole family to fall in their footsteps, and he didn't want to support that. So while he was far from disowned, he was... in many respects, the loner of the family.
Xander flinched inwardly at being called Alix. It was his family's name for him, and that was something that he didn't change. It just... was not his preferred nickname. Not that his family needed to know about that. He raised an eyebrow and shrugged, "The same." He wondered how many times he could say the same that people still tied it back to being 'good' when he was a child. But Xander wasn't the type to partake in these sorts of conversation.
"Is everything alright in the school? Father speaks highly of the new school discipline techniques." Xander spoke boredly, looking around the bar. His brother was... a relatively sore subject. As Alixander loved him as he was his brother, there were some things he didn't know how to approach- for instance, how Tobias treated his female friends. Something that Alixander was always weary of, having been best friends with an ex of toby's.
