[attr="class","GGcontenttemp1"] Today was the day of the game makers session and Beau was pretty terrified by anyone's standards. He knew that he needed to impress the game makers so that he could get a good score. A good score mean't more donations for himself and for Madalyn. He waited for his own name to be called and upon his summoning he headed into the training room that had been his home for the past few days. He casually looked around before bowing lightly. "I am Beau Sawyer. District nine" he said before heading right over to the weapons rack, not wanting to waste any time dawdling.

He qickly picked up a scythe, just like the one he had back home and twirled the weapon from one hand to the other a few times before walking over towards the strategy simulation room and typing something into the touch pad. No sooner had he finished the code, several orange holograms began running towards him with weapons of their own.

The first hologram reached him within moments and swung its sword towards Beau's neck. He quickly ducked and brought his scythe up between the legs of the hologram and cut it right in half with a beep. He rolled along the floor and quickly got to his feet just in time to avoid the smash of another holograms war hammer. This continued for a further five minutes and when he was finished with the last hologram he stood up from his position on the floor and took a long drink from his water bottle. It was then that his eyes drifted over to the large gauntlet training platform that he had seen a lot of the other careers working on over the past few days. He knew he didn't have much more time to show the game makers what he could do so he decided to just go for it.

He got ready and then began sprinting and jumping from platform to platform. He got three quarters of the way up before one of the trainers ended up hitting his foot with a paddle and sending him flying forwards. He hit into the next platform and was clinging on for dear life, using his upper body strength to pull himself up. He only managed three more platforms before he felt himself falling backwards, with nothing to grab onto and he hit the floor with a loud thump and winded himself.... even after landing on a crash mat.

He laid there for several moments with his eyes closed, trying to catch his breath. Pretty pissed off that he had made such a stupid mistake in front of the game makers. He was then helped up by a trainer who apologized and then started to lead him out of the room. Beau was still too breathless to really talk on his way out.
