JANUARY OTMs
#1 INFO Starting Today (Feb 8th), we will be taking nominations for our OTM awards. Each month, we will have 'of the month' awards. For anyone new to roleplaying, certain categories are put together for the OTM awards. Then members on the site nominate other members than themselves for awards. Nominations will close on February 13th at 11:59pm EST. If you are nominating, do not nominate someone that someone else has nominated. You must nominate someone different for each category, if they have already been nominated.
#2 CATEGORIES & NOMINATING The categories for January were Male of the Month, Female of the Month, Member of the Month, Friends of the Month, & Thread of the Month. When nominating for a category, you may only nominate one person for each category. If you have multiple accounts, please do not nominate people more than once going by the number of your characters. This is completely an out of character thing thus you may only nominate five people (male, female, member, friends) and one thread since you are one person. You do not have to nominate for every category in case you are hung up on who to nominate for a category. Our categories for February will be Male of the Month, Female of the Month, Member of the Month, and Enemies of the Month - so you can anticipate those nominations when this current month passes. Please post below in this thread using the form below to nominate.

So, plenty of people have probably been wondering what Beauxbatons has been doing during these past three years. They have mostly kept out of the war by not helping the order nor the death eaters. However, they will be contacted by a order member or two about possibly taking in muggleborns into their school to help keep them safe and to ensure they get some education that they are missing from not participating in Hogwarts. If they are to be brought onto the site, they will only take in a few muggleborns per month, so it does not look suspicious to the death eaters. If it is wanted, this plot will expand and eventually Beauxbatons will become an ally to the Order and trust me, they have wanted Hogwarts back to the way it was though they have kept out of the battles for the safety of their students.
This school is unknowingly still associated with the death eaters as it was the home to many of the death eater children for many, many years before the death eaters took over Britain. If this school is introduced, they may side with the Death Eaters and thus add more to their numbers. This school will not admit any muggleborns and will kill them on sight, if they dare to try to enter their school. This school may ultimately have all of its students moved to Hogwarts by the death eaters, who want a school full of pureblood students and may result in the death eaters to start targeting the halfbloods. If Durmstrang is wanted, the plot may eventually expand and result in Durmstrang being a school on the site that we may allow professors, etc at.
What do you guys think? Do you want Durmstrang and Beauxbatons introduced on the site? Would you like the ability to make people from those schools and be able to roleplay at those schools? We are leaving this decision completely up to you guys as we want to see some support for the idea before we introduce it fully on the site or to throw it into the trash can of ideas, if you guys want to stick with just Hogwarts for now.

 This event will be taking place in Hogsmeade hours later after the Catching Fire event during the first week of November 2026. This event will be to honor those lost in the fire of Hogsmeade which destroyed the village completely. As a result of the fire, any threads taking place in Hogsmeade for November 2026 - we ask that you roleplay your characters visiting rubbish. The shops will be getting rebuilt over time by their shopkeepers and any order members helping them using polyjuice potion. As for this event, the fire will still be burning strong in Hogsmeade thus the members of Guardians of Hogwarts, other students, and potentially order members will be visiting this site to pay tribute to those shops and any shopkeepers that died in the fire. They may leave items from the shop at the bonfire or other things to remember what was lost. Unlike before, the participants will not use polyjuice potion for the sake that they want to honor those shops and/or shopkeepers that had been so kind to them. This event will begin when Catching Fire ends and is part 2 of the main event where the Guardians of Hogwarts will become known to the Order.

 This event will be taking place in Hogsmeade during the day during the first week of November 2026. For roleplaying purposes, it will be taking place after the Touch of Death event (so, imagine that event at the beginning of the week and this one at the end of the week). This event will begin the same day as Touch of Death in our time meaning February 11th! This event will be a guardians of hogwarts event mainly focused on saving the residents of Hogsmeade. The death eaters are quite fed up after their encounters with the order at Azkaban & St. Mungo's thus they will be lighting fire to Hogsmeade, burning it to the ground. Members of Guardians of Hogwarts will get word of the event the night before by Mila Greyback due to her brother, who has been slowly relaying information about the Death Eaters' plans to the Order/Guardians. Unfortunately, they are too late and the village has begun burning. Using polyjuice potion, the students in GOH and professors that are Order members may help save shopkeepers and residents of the village. The village fire will keep burning into the late night leading into the next GOH event following this called Memoria. Our GOH members and professors will be arriving after the death eaters have left thus it will be their mission to save the shopkeepers and any students in the village.
#2 SIGNING UP You all may make your own threads for the event starting on February 11th. If you are a guardians of hogwarts member, it is expected for you to join. As for any other students, they may participate in this event as students, who were at Hogsmeade shopping and need help escaping the fire. The only order members that may participate are shopkeepers in Hogsmeade or professors at Hogwarts. Any neutral professors/shopkeepers may participate as well. For signing up, we only ask for your alias and what your allegiance is.

 This event will be taking place in the Forbidden Forest on a night where it is not a full moon. This event will be the first event of November 2026 for our site thus it will take place during the first week of November on February 11th in our time. On February 11th, the site will also be switched over to November though Tortured Souls (our last October event) will be roleplayed until February 20th. This event is open to our seventh year students of Hogwarts, who will be given the dark mark. Death eaters are more than welcome to sign up for this event as well. Instead of an admin making the thread or you guys being placed into groups, you will be making your own threads. Each ceremony for each student will take place in a different part of the forest though if you want two students together, go for it. You may PM a death eater to be in your thread or you may ask an admin to post as a non playable character portraying a death eater, if you wish. Below, you must post why your student would deserve a dark mark. The reason that the death eaters will be giving the dark mark to students, who are worthy - they want more numbers. They have seen the numbers of the order so far that has only just begun rising from the ashes thus the death eaters will want more to add to their numbers. If your character backs out at the last minute from a dark mark, they may end up tortured instead and narrowly escape the ceremony.
#2 SIGNING UP Unlike our previous events, we only ask that you state why your seventh year student is worthy of a dark mark. We will not accept any students under 17 as the death eaters will want more numbers that are about to be graduating in June. We also would like a general idea of how many participants will be in this event, so we can time how long the event will last. Even if your character is not actually receiving the mark (ex: their family expects it of them) then you can sign them up and have them refusing the dark mark or receiving it to please their family only to regret it later. Keep in mind, no werewolves may sign up as the death eaters still view werewolves as not being worthy of the mark. If you are a death eater, it isn't mandatory to show up though if you sign up, students to receive the dark mark may pm you to take part in their initiation ceremony.
