The lights went out as the stores closed everywhere. Some say that store lights is what keeps cities alive but Scarlet disagreed, especially in Berlin. Berlin is a city of death rather than life, it always has been ever since the war. She wasn’t talking about the wizarding war because that didn’t affect Berlin one bit, no she meant the world wars and civil wars that followed. Scarlet was standing near the famous wall of Berlin, it had its own history and her nose could scent old blood everywhere.



The wall now looked like a piece of street art even though its just another piece of history. Her eyes went up to a church like building, only the tower remained. From the top of that building two brothers were meant to fly over the wall, only one survived and got to the other side. Scarlet looked at monuments like It actually meant something because it did. This wall meant suffering, it meant pain. People died touching it because they believed that there would be a better life on the other side.



Scarlet snapped a photo and slid the camera in her bag as she sat down on a bench looking at the wall itself. The woman loved history and the mere idea of seeing this wall in his whole was more exciting than looking at the remains.



The remains showed nothing more than pure hatred and rebellion. Something England lacked very badly. People were too civil to even consider rebellion and when there is it’s the younger generation that shows how they want change. But then again muggles have many ways to die and survive most of them, the wizards and witches have one magic spell that kills them all without hesitation. Scarlet didn’t like it and she surely did not appreciate it.



This war was ripping up people’s lives and she was stuck in doing what the bad guys want her to do. Scarlet sighed as she thought of her brother and smiled half when she heard sounds of someone also enjoying the night life of Berlin. Scarlet slid her hands into the pockets of her coat, she just wanted peace but somehow she figured she wouldn’t get any tonight. Then again the police here should have some fun with a body soon enough.



It shouldn’t take too long to find it anyways. Scarlet made some room on the bench for the other person to sit if they wanted to and her eyes were dreamily focused on the wall and its awful street art decorations. “ Good evening, also enjoying the darkness?” she asked while still focused on the wall not giving anyone a look their way.

Home sweet home for the young woman from Scotland. Her eyes feasted on her home village not far from the road. It had been a long time since she had the guts to come back, people moved on from their lives thinking this attack never happened to their families. Paisley never had been a large place and its full of history, their history is one of the reasons why this village is still alive. Scarlet walked down the hill and made her way into Paisley. It felt like her dead heart had started beating insanely fast as she passed the Welcome to Paisley sign. The young woman hasn’t been home for many years and now she is back just to see things for herself again.

Scarlet passed bakeries, people sitting in front of tiny cafes having a drink and a laugh. Everything just seemed to be back to normal. Scarlet moved on as she walked up to her own old home. The home where her mother and father were slaughtered by vampires and werewolves alike. Her brother missing and she herself had become the monster everyone feared. The house looked abandoned and flowers were tied to the gates and the front yard. People had left notes and bears and even candles.

Scarlet wiped a tear from her pale face as she opened the gate and held the key to her home in her hand. She didn’t know if people ever changed the locks, or whether the house was even clean. What if their blood still dripped from the walls. The bodies that were drained down still inside. The woman feared for the worst as she unlocked the door and opened it up. The hallway looked normal and her sharp eyes saw so much more than it should.

Her sensitive nose could smell the scent of garlic and bleach. Is this what became of the town, garlic, bleach and crosses? Scarlet held her breathe as she shut the door behind her and ignored the burning sensation on her skin and in her nose. So the garlic rumors were true then, delightful. Scarlet sighed and walked on , the living room was trashed like the day of the attack, but the bleach made sure that the blood was out of view from prying eyes.

Many windows were broken which meant people also robbed the place, amazing. All together it looked like a graveyard and a horrible place. The young woman couldn’t hold it and fled the house shutting the door behind her. There was someone standing near the gate, who it was she couldn’t tell and she didn’t care either. This place became a hell on earth and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Scarlet held back her tears and curled up in a ball hoping whoever was at the gate would leave her in peace.

Some nights were full of surprises when others were totally dull and lonesome. It all depended on the type of night and the type of people. Some people would go out and get drunk, sleep with strangers and even like it when they get raped because hey who cares we are drunk! Scarlet has seen them all pass her by while not knowing whether their night would end up good forever or with an unwanted child. The dark haired female loved the night, it is her place of element, it’s mysterious and yet so delicious that you need to try it.



Mostly just like chocolate. Scarlet embraced the night, its darkness filled her soul, a soul which once was full of light and brightness. It had a deep sparkle that would lit up every fire but that sparkle died when she did. Scarlet walked down the brewing streets of London making her way to the leaky cauldron. She had been renting a room there for quite some time and the place was treating her well for now. Scarlet refused to stay inside a school and neither was she planning on mingling with the other death eaters.



The death eaters assured her that they knew where her twin is and that he is alive and well but they would never tell her unless she does what they want. “I rather do that than have a stake through my heart” she whispered as she left the crowded streets just so she could dive in the always peaceful street where The Leaky Cauldron rests. Scarlet was planning to rest her senses there until she could peacefully enjoy the night from her bedroom with a view over the rest of the people.



Scarlet’s heels clicked on the wooden floor of the bar as soon as she entered it. She didn’t bother to look at other people, after all she is the one they should look at. Look but don’t touch. The vampire licked her lips as she reached the bar. “A fire whiskey, and make it extra red.” she said with a wink. Of course she let them know they were holding a vampire in their place, doesn’t mean she was afraid of anyone though. The word vampire scared people off rather than drawing them in and since her Veela side made her more gorgeous than vampirism could ever do to her, she figured she would be safer here.



And for people with no brain it would be a fire whiskey with tomato juice. Scarlet paid for it and sat down at a table in the darkest corner of the entire building and took a sip of the deliciousness. The fact remained that she couldn’t live without blood and though it wasn’t much of a perk, she loved how sexy she looked with fangs. Weird right? Scarlet grabbed a file she stole from a ministry worker, it was a register of all magical creatures in England. A copy of the original of course. She saw many names but not her brother’s name.



If he would be alive wouldn’t his name be on it? Those death eaters were hiding something and she didn’t like it. Scarlet raised a brow and looked up at whoever figured he could sit at the same table like her own. The woman bared no ill will and so she gave the person a kind smile and moved her glass a bit closer. The file was useless, again. Like her brother vanished from the world.
