Josh hadn't always been in shape. When he was a teen, he'd been... not out of shape, exactly, but he hadn't been much of an athlete, either. Really, the only exercise he got was running from the cops. And then as he'd gotten older and the drugs got worse... he'd lost so much weight. He'd been so unhealthy, so fragile, so frail. His skin had been so pale and bruised so easily. He got sick all of the time and could barely walk, let alone run. But Pete had been there every step of the way. And his fiance really quite loved his rather new muscles. A lot. Not that Josh minded, of course. Nor did he mind actually being healthy for the first time in his life.

When the man snatched the bag out of his hands like a rude son of a bitch, Josh's thoughts turned from happy to... not so happy. His years of drug abuse had left him with easily triggered anger. The fingers of the hand that had been holding a bag curled into a tight fist and he forced his arms to hang at his sides, jaw clenched and lips pressed in a tight line. ”Yeah you’re sorry” Josh arched a brow at the shorter and, uh, rounder man, allowing his lips to curl into a satisfied smirk when the slightly familiar face finally got a good look at him. That's right, punk, I could knock you the fuck out with one punch. And then he was laughing - awkwardly - and Josh just continued to stare at him though his fist did uncurl... lucky for him. ”I mean, thanks for giving me my food bag back man” He seemed to be rethinking his rudeness. Good.

The man then raised his hand and at first Josh thought he was going for a handshake but then he realized he wanted a high five and Josh nearly rolled his eyes, instead letting out a soft breath that was kind-of a laugh and more just a sound of amusement. A high five? Really? No. Instead of giving the high five, Joshua just continued to stare down at him, his smirk still in place. But that was all about to change. ”You look familiar” The twenty-seven year old made a low hum of agreement before his whole body froze, tensing up, his eyes darkened and narrowing. ”Pete! You now Pete right? I think… “ He not-so-subtle reached and played with the engagement ring on his finger, looking very much like a snake waiting for the right moment to strike. "How do you know Pete?" he asked, his voice cool and threatening.

Okay, so maybe Josh had a little bit of a jealous problem. ”Looks like I was number 43… what number were you? Maybe they skipped you over man? You know these places… can’t ever depend on them for shit.. right?” He really wasn't in the mood for small talk but he didn't want to just walk away because he needed to know how this rude piece of shit knew Pete. "There's very little you can ever depend on," he snapped before taking a breath to calm his temper, "I just wasn't paying attention, I can go back and grab my bag." However, he didn't make a move. He wasn't going to let this guy out of his sight until he knew how he knew Pete. He knew Pete would never cheat on him, that had always been something he had done (only when he was too fucked up to realize what the hell he was doing but he still felt bloody awful about it) but... he couldn't help wondering if maybe Pete preferred short and stumpy over tall and muscular.

Personality: Josh has changed quite a bit from that charming teenage lad he once was. He's still got that charm about him, of course, but he doesn't bother using it all too much. He's battling depression now, brought on by his past and his former drug addiction, and also has a short temper which is very easily triggered. He struggles with anxiety as well, something that is fairly new to him. He hates it, a lot, but he's doing his best to stay clean and healthy for Pete because Pete is the most important person in his life and always has been.

History:

Being clean wasn't easy. Every day was a struggle, a struggle that he wasn't used to, but he had promised Pete that he wouldn't touch another drop of alcohol or use any more drugs and he's already hurt Pete so much already... he couldn't stand to hurt him anymore, especially now that they were engaged. His cheeks flushed slightly at the thought, lips twitching into a tired smile as he walked through the London mall. Currently, he didn't have a job, and that was why he was here. He'd been working with the witch hunters for five years now but they didn't exactly pay him and now that he wasn't dealing drugs anymore... he had to find something else. He felt like a teenager again and he didn't like it at all. It made him feel pathetic. His teenage years had been a nightmare filled with abuse from his mother. The scar on his chest from where she had thrown a hot curling iron at him when he was seven was still there and he reached up to touch it through his clothes, the smile fading. The rest of his body had scars as well from abuse and fights and heavy drug use but the one of his chest was the one that bothered him the most. It was the first one he ever got from his mother and it was a constant reminder that he wasn't good enough. Good enough for Pete... He had to remember that. Pete. He was doing this for Pete. Just like he always had. Everything had always been for Pete, even when they were just kids.

Eventually, he ended up at McDonalds. He honestly wasn't a fan of fast food anymore, it reminded him too much of drug induced binges, but it was cheap and quick so he ordered a sandwich, not really paying attention to what it was that he ordered, and when a bag was placed in front of him he grabbed it and started to walk away. He barely got two steps before there was a tap on his shoulder and a rather agitated voice saying, ”Ummmm excuse me. I think that’s my Big Mac you're running off with” Josh stopped walking, blinking and staring down at the bag in his hand before turning to face the man that had spoken. He was familiar though he couldn't remember his name, nor did he really care enough at the moment to figure it out. "Oh, sorry," he mumbled, handing over the bag, doing his best to keep his sassy comments to himself. I don't think you need the burger. Well, the guy probably couldn't read his thoughts. Chances are, he wasn't a wizard. Most wizards avoided the muggle world, thank god.
