♚ so fluorescent under these lights "Even though Quidditch does bring wizards and witches together, I just never really cared for Quidditch to muggle sports." A shrug came from his shoulders as he replied to her. "There's just something more fascinating about watching a football game than a Quidditch in my opinion." His sister, Adelaide, loved Quidditch even though she was a muggle because she thought it was very unique - which it was it just wasn't something John enjoyed. He would rather watch a ball be passed on the ground rather than in the air with people flying on a broom. No doubt when Schizzy mentioned her favorite team, John didn't know much about them. He listened to her speak about this Austin Cullen guy and if in fact he really was as dreamy as she said he was. Maybe he should show a picture to his sisters and find out. So, he just nodded while he listened to her speak about how the guy could even swoon a veela. Though when it came to answering a question about what he liked to do, he couldn't really find something interesting to tell his old friend. "Well," he leaned on the counter, placed his chin on his hand, and thought about this. "If you really want to know... I enjoy being home with a friend, chatting about something random, or watch a movie together." He shrugged his shoulders and straightened himself. Yeah, that sounded lame, but it was true. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

` john smith: words . tags John was not expecting the child's room to look awesome. Instead, he was expecting it to look plain with barely anything on the walls. Basically, John was expecting the room to look like his when he was that age. The room was completely different and much more energetic. This room was art and needed to stay that way. "Wow...." John spoke after looking at every little detail. He brushed his hand along one of the walls and continued to look around. If he way that age again he would be jealous, no doubt about that. "Your room is amazing." He spoke before hearing Miles speak about wanting to play. John looked down at the child and nodded his head. "Sure, go ahead and choose." John replied before moving over to the middle of the room. He sat down and continued to look around. He really was amazed at how detailed the trees and the stars were, It made him not want to leave the room. It made him want to go home and paint his room to something similar to this. This child has it lucky, that's for sure. The only thing that came close to Miles's room in John's old room was a poster on the wall that was a gift from his father's friend.

♚ so fluorescent under these lights The wink was what caught John off guard. He wasn't expecting it and she was so calm about the situation. Even though it was an accident he felt guilty for doing it because of the fact that he was with someone even if she was the first to officially cheat. Not saying that he would cheat on her while they were in a relationship..... unless if he was wasted drunk. Then he would still feel iffy about the whole thing. He stood there and watched her as she adjusted her top and frowned at her words. John wasn't much of a Quidditch fan so he wouldn't be able to tell her his favorite team so that was out of the question. "Sorry.... not much of a Quidditch fan." He spoke still standing in the same spot. There really wasn't much to say on that subject so he just stood there and drifted his eyes away from her thinking about another topic to talk about, but the more he thought the more his marriage came up. His face started to crumble into a sad, useless face. Turning away from her hoping she wouldn't noticed, a few tears ran down his face before he immediately wiped them away. After a few awkward seconds of trying to control his emotions he turned back to her and asked her the same question. "Do you have a favorite Quidditch team?" He asked pretending like nothing was wrong. href="http://adoxographyv2.boards.net/user/210"]NEMO [/a] of adoxography ||[/div]

♚ so fluorescent under these lights The difference between him babysitting and her job is that she actually taught an acceptable age between eleven and seventeen or eighteen. John on the other hand taught children under the age of six who most of the time didn't listen. Recently he hadn't been babysitting much and of the few he babysat only one really listened. He didn't want to babysit or be a bartender forever, they were not careers for him. "Yeah, you're right on that." He replied with a small smile. He wasn't expecting to ever be a babysitter but once he babysat for his wife's friend a couple of years ago, he fell in love. "Kind of makes me want children myself." He commented immediately turned out to be an embarrassing comment for him. He felt his cheeks start to warm a little and he turned his attention toward the wall in front of him. Maybe it was about time to leave and take care of another who wanted a drink, but he didn't want to be rude so he just stood there looking at the back wall. "So," he looked back down at her, but accidentally went a little too far. Immediately realizing he was staring at the area (the one he shouldn't of been looking at other than his wife's) he covered his face and turned around and started to walk away embarrassed. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

♚ so fluorescent under these lights Another part of John's job was to flirt every now and then to get more tip. Well, at least that's what his boss told him to do. So, John thought of something that might make the cut. "Maybe one day I can show you how strong I am," John showed her another wink, but a playful one meaning that he wasn't looking for anything serious with her. He was married after all. If anything did happen between them then he would have to be wasted drunk.
Listening to Schizzy talk about her life in the past five years was interesting. He wasn't expecting her to become a Professor at Hogwarts and start her own Slug Club. It was all pretty impressive, but when it came to his life in the past five years he just wanted to make it up. "Yeah," he looked down at his left hand at frowned as he looked at the band. He had been married for five years and definitely wasn't what he was expecting. "It's not as perfect as it sounds." John looked back up at her showing a smile that almost seemed fake. His marriage wasn't the greatest and he really did want it to end, but who knew when it would. "Other than marriage, I just am a bartender and sometimes a babysitter." Not the best careers in the world unlike begin a professor. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

♚ so fluorescent under these lights Remembering a certain face was a skill that John wished he had because even there were those few times when he accidentally slipped up the wrong name. The only faces he could truly remember were the ones part of his family. He stood there and listened to her ask if he remembered who she was and just as he opened his mouth to respond, she blurted it out. A chuckle escaped his lips and he shook his head before looking down at the sangria. "You look just as good as you did back then if not better" Now that was a compliment that shouldn't be taken the wrong way but he doubted that she would considering how she was. He looked back up at her feeling his cheeks start to warm which was not a good thing. Was that a bad thing since he was married? Was blushing considered cheating? "So tell me something," he said as he leaned on the counter again. "What have you been up to since we last spoke?" He would rather hear all the stories she lived instead of heading over to other customers. After all, part of his job was to talk and listen to customers. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

♚ so fluorescent under these lights A smile grew on Jon's face as she realized who he was. Pretty impressive really because John wouldn't think that the Schizandra Slughorn would of remembered him. Yes, they were friends back at Hogwarts, but then things changed and they both lost contact with each other. Instead of answering her at that moment, his smile was still plastered on his face as he walked away to make her drink. John wouldn't of picked a Sangria himself considering that he wasn't a much a wine drinker or a brandy drinker, but it was something different he got to make. He glanced over at the other man who now seemed to be arguing with one of the other bartenders. Unlike John this bartender was able to argue back whereas John would start stuttering and wouldn't know what to say.
After a few minutes, John made his way back over to his old friend and set the drink down on a napkin for her. "Enjoy," John winked as he slid the drink toward her a bit. He looked her over for a second or two, turned around, and started to make his way to the other side of the bar, but stopped half way. "You really are that good at remembering faces, aren't you?" He asked after turning around to stare at her. He placed the towel over his shoulder and crossed his arms. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

` john smith: words . tags Who knew that the puzzle idea would actually work? Even though when he was younger working on puzzles seemed like the best thing in the world, he wasn't quite expecting Miles to agree to it. Lifting himself off of the couch John smirked and nodded at Miles. "You know, I can tell you plenty of stories about how I would fight with my brothers and sisters about who would finish and frame the puzzle." There were about seven or eight times when John wanted to finish the puzzle so he could frame it in his room especially the ones that involved dragons. After all if these were the puzzles that John was talking about - there were many different kinds - then they were probably a really low piece count. John made his way past Miles and back over toward the kitchen where Alyssa was. "We're going to his room." John spoke before leaning against the door frame. It was most likely better to tell her where they were going because who knew what would happen if she walked out and didn't see them in the living room. He stood there leaning on the door frame for a few moments watching her work before realizing that she handed him a beer earlier. Pushing himself off the frame, he turned around and passed Miles, grabbed his drink where he left it, and looked back at Miles. "Lead the way, sir."

♚ so fluorescent under these lights There were many days when John didn't want to be at work. Nothing was wrong with being a bartender, but John didn't wantt o make it his career (even if he was about to turn thirty). Numerous times there were drinks thrown back at him, getting yelled at because he was having a rough day, and getting assaulted because he accidentally forgot one ingredient in a complicated drink. On those days he just wanted to go home and relax, but then he realized that he had a few more hours of his shift and despised the day even more.
As his shift continued, the crowd started to die down and John could finally breath air after getting yelled at once again. Maybe if he moved to a different bar he wouldn't be yelled at as much. He was about to get yelled at by an older man who seemed to be in his seventies before John noticed a blonde sit down a few seats away. "Sorry, sir, I'll get someone else to discuss this with you." John looked at another bartender and motioned him over before he made himself over to the blonde. "What would you like, miss?" He asked after leaning on the counter. || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

JAYMES LOGAN BALZAC and MARGARET ANNE SMITHAlright, this might be complete psycho on my part, but Margaret would think he is attractive. She doesn't judge how people look or how much older they are, etc. Sooo I was thinking what about if one day she just sees him, walks up to him, and then just goes "would you like to get some dinner?" It would like to see his awkwardness around her.

| Y es, John needed to put a shirt on but was she looking out for him or was she disgusted by looking at his bare body to mention that? He knew that he needed to put on a shirt and he was going to do that, but he did not need his wife to tell him what he already knew. He started to make his way back into the laundry room just as she answered his question. A roll of the eyes and another sigh escaped his lips as he grabbed a random shirt from the hanger in the closet. Of course she ate, but at least she saved toast for him. She couldn't of just ate toast considering that she was pregnant, but even if she had just ate toast at least she saved a slice for him. It was probably burnt to a crisp, but at least he had fucking toast to eat. He walked back out of the laundry room and over to the kitchen to reheat the toast. "It was alright, I drank too much, not going to lie about that." John glanced at her to see if she would mention something about not lying herself, but the glance was short and he was back to preparing his toast. He twisted the jar of jam and placed the lid on the counter. "Margie was having problems with some guy at her work so she wanted to discuss that. I had to rant about something too, but we drank together and had a decent time." Grabbing a steak knife from the holder he decided to respond. "How was your night, Violet? Did you do anything exciting?"

| O nce upon a time, John and Violet were happy together, but that was long ago and nowhere to be found. Five years of marriage was a long time and even though John didn't want it to end he knew that once Violet found out about him knowing about the pregnancy that it would just turn to dust. Dust from the five, long years of memories that would soon be out of his site. A long sigh escaped his lips as he stood in the bathroom leaning against the sink. He looked like a mess and not just because he had just woke up, but because of the previous night out with his younger sister., Adelaide. They went out for a drink and three hours later John was wasted so once arriving at home he crashed in the guest bedroom. He didn't want his loving wife to worry why tears were rushing down his face. Well, she probably would have finally guessed it was about her but sometimes she was clueless.... or just didn't care. He turned on the faucet, placed some disgusting flavored toothpaste on his toothbrush and let the water run over the toothbrush for about two seconds. After all who knew if she would smell the alcohol if he didn't have a toothbrush in his mouth. "You're up early," John mumbled after moving into the living room where Violet was. He was still brushing his teeth and instead of staying in the bathroom he made his way to the laundry room to grab a t-shirt. He glanced at the tv only to noticed that she was watching the news which was something he always cringed with. He hated watching the news because it seemed boring and at this point who knew if she only watched it to annoy him, but he doubted it. Luckily for John there was a sink in the laundry room so he finished brushing his teeth there giving Violet all the more reason to be annoyed. "Did you want to get some breakfast?" John asked wiping under his left eye as he walked back out making his way back into the living room. He was too busy brushing his teeth that he didn'r grab a shirt so he stood there with just pajama bottoms on. |
