Life has just been a drag for the seventeen year old slytherin student. Every single day of her life she had to watch her ex girlfriend burn in the flames, every night in her dreams she couldn’t dream of anything else. Paige wasn’t sure whether it was something she held onto or that someone was messing with her mind. Like a punishment she has to go through every single day of her miserable life. Of course desperate souls like hers would go join the death eaters just so she could forget the pain and cause them on others. That’s not who she is and how she wants to spend her time.



Paige knows deeply inside that it isn’t what she would want for her. The dark haired girl walked in the halls of the hellhole called Hogwarts. She passed crying children, screams in classrooms and death eaters who kept an eye on the troublemaker. Paige gave them all the stink eye and moved along until she reached the grounds of Hogwarts. The cold grass looked destroyed and the castle no longer had the glory look it deserved. Paige remembered her first time here, she was so happy and excited.



That little girl loved this place, that little girl is now miserable inside. This place isn’t like it should be and everyone knew that so well and yet only a few joined the guardians. Paige found a rock in the grass, the frostbite freshly cuddled it as she held it in her hand. The girl for a moment stroked the frostbite off of the rock and then threw it in the air. There used to be a time where she would skip around the halls of joy and her eyes were full of life but these people just take it away.



“ They took you away, and now I don’t know what I should feel anymore. “ she whispered and leaned against the tree while slowly sinking down into the ice cold grass. Paige wasn’t planning on being depressed all the time, it wasn’t really who she is but she couldn’t help but feel alone a lot these days either. Her best friend wouldn’t even look at her the same again and when she faced the facts, Paige had no friends. So she is a star in potions and poisons, she is good with knives and very fast.



It doesn’t make friends, it makes enemies. When she joined the guardians it was because she needed some place else than her own room to be at. She needed people to help her. She needed help to save this school, bring the muggleborns back and graduate without guilt in her stomach of leaving innocent children behind without people to save them. For once she wanted to be the hero, to forget how she failed to save the life of her and move on.



“ I got to move on. I can’t sulk like this forever. “ Paige claimed and looked up at the sky. She wondered where her rock would have landed but then again if it hit a head, she wasn’t the one to blame. Paige heard footsteps in the cracking grass. Her eyes shot towards the side where it came from and her hand rested on her thigh where she had her wand sealed away. The sounds weren’t coming from up front or the side, it came from right behind her.



“ You know it isn’t polite to sneak up on other people. “

Paige was having a rough day in general today. She was wanted for many things and right now she just freed two first years from their torture treatment. The mere idea of having first years as torture subjects made her stomach twist and her anger issues lighten up. Paige is one of the long lined dark family witches and wizards and for only a few generations they turned to the good side and usually help people with medical issues over whole Ireland. Though her parents refused to be “good” like her grandmother.

It is one of the reasons why her father died when he joined the death eaters. He mixed himself up in stuff that didn’t concern them up until now. Paige didn’t feel sorry for him whatsoever but of course people now thought she was a death eater’s daughter. Not the she cared, she lost her girlfriend to these bastards and now they can wish that they never started this war to begin with. Paige used some healing spells on the first year who had been crying for over an hour now.

“ It will be fine. One day you will be so strong that they wish they would have never met you in the first place. “ she assured him and hoped that by that time this war would be over. It is no place for a child to grow up in a war. Paige saw a death eater coming from a small distance and she knew he would hurt this kid again soon. “ Run kid. To your dorm and don’t come out. “ she demanded and watched the kid run off. Oh yes she would get paid for this big time.

“ Yes, Yes I know I made a huge mistake now and I’m going to pay dearly for it. Maybe next week I will torture your kid then?” oh she did it now.. the man was about to curse her to death when her arm and shoulder was grabbed by Longbottom. She knew he was an order member, the guardians knew every order member around but that should make her care how much? She rolled her eyes when he started to rant and drag her off to detention.

“ Yes it is majorly stupid to save an eleven year old from maybe permanent brain damage! Those death eaters deserve what is coming for them. And since the order doesn’t seem to have the balls for it anymore, it tends to fall on others. “ she hissed and made sure the door behind her was shut tight. Why in the name of Hades was she meant to accept all of this?! Everytime some death eater pops up she has to pay dearly for it and she refuses to do so any longer.

“ So detention it is then. “ she sighed and sat down on a table.

Paige didn’t talk to anyone who had entered after her. She was here because of revenge and a peaceful mind. The only way she could move on is when her mind was at peace and with the death eaters lurking around every corner it couldn’t get a peace. No one’s minds could. Her eyes fell on a Gryffindor who entered the room having a pretty large smile. Indeed the halls were empty tonight, not a good sign whatsoever. Every kid knows that. Paige felt her ribs protest when she tried to move in a more comfortable position. Her brown eyes looking down at her hands. If those fools left the castle then there was something wrong outside of it.

The girl snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Matt. A light smile appeared on her lips but her eyes were cold and dead. “ Oh come on Matty, you wouldn’t see me join those weaklings now do you? Besides they killed most of my family and they killed.. her. “ she shook her head and clenched her frozen hands into fists. “ No more innocents should get hurt matty. No more. “ she whispered, her own Irish accent harsh and bitter. Paige always looked like the tough girl you shouldn’t mess with, and she is just that type of person.

Just the bare idea of someone killing the ones she loved made this girl damaged, both physically and mentally. She often tried to kill herself and she doesn’t feel bad now that it failed. When she sees these people gathered together to save this school, it wakes up her soul. She shouldn’t be sad and die, she should fight in her honor and show everyone that they are not just kids. Paige’s attention was caught by some child, a weasley if she wasn’t mistaking.

“ What I heard kid is that most of them left the castle. Healer wouldn’t say why. “ she answered him and suppressed a growl when she moved again. So her body wasn’t ready to fight… who cares. This was their chance to strike back but if these idiots left the castle that meant innocents will suffer. She couldn’t watch that happen, no way in hell. After graduation Paige would join the order and get a lame job that would pay the bills and make her a valuable spy.

Just a peaceful mind is all she asks for. Paige turned to Matt again and she knew how much shit she got him into with her idiotic behavior over the years. Some people say you will get over it when it has been more than 2 years but she couldn’t. She had to watch and she could hear her screams when she was asleep, dream every night of that horrible event. Paige shook the thoughts off and leaned her back against the soft pillows in the chair.
