VOICES WON'T GO AWAY they stay for days and days They say some awful things, ways to make you fade away She didn’t know why, but for some reason the girl’s words struck deep. Right into her very chord. It was no secret that the woman thought that she was an idiot. That she had decided to go jump in the lake on purpose, and maybe she sub-consciously had, but she wasn't stupid enough to do that. No. If she wanted to commit suicide she was going to be sure that Sean was there to see it. She would make sure that he knew that he knew that he was responsible in part for her death and that he had a chance to once again be her knight in shining armor.
For some reason though the very thought of this girl... this girl she didn't remember ever having met before... criticizing her just hurt. It was like her best friend stabbing her in the gut with a very dull and rusty knife... or worse!
Soon the sound of a crackling fire came to her ears. Flames. Warmth. She rolled over, her wet shirt moving to reveal her slightly bulged stomach (because lets face it, very few girls these days were perfectly in shape). She made moves towards them and closer to the girl whom had struck her to the core. Just like Sean had done when he took her heart, tore it into tiny pieces, and smooshed it into the ground with his shoes. She had done everything she could to make things right. To be there for him and she was only repaid with a broken heart.
"I know... I wasn't trying to do it on purpose... honest," her hands shook as she looked at them, although she really had no clue why and just brushed it off as having nerves from facing a near death experience. "Thank you by the way.... for saving me..." she gave Paige a half warm smile, her arms outstretched hoping for the embrace of the flames. To be snared in its arms and for its embrace never to leave her.

She continued to flail as an arm wrapped around her waist. What was that? A mermaid? The squid? Panic would be able to be seen upon her face, that is until the sound of a feminine voice reached her ears. She did exactly as she was told. Her body went rigid like a board as she floated to the surface. She didn't know whom this person was just by the sound of her (or his?) voice, but she had no choice but to trust her. She was attempting to save her life after all and she would trust her arm over the tentacle of the giant squid any old day.
Once at the shore, Pam hauled her wet weight back up and onto the safety of the solid ground. She didn't stand though. Oh no. She just lay upon the grass. Huffing and puffing. It wasn't that she hadn't known how to swim. She panicked. Just panicked. Only then did her eyes flicker over to her savior. The savior that a small part of her wished to be Sean. Instead it was a girl whom was vaguely familiar to her. She just couldn't put her finger on where she had seen her before.
"I'm fine... thank you... you didn't have to help me you know?"

Is your family the only sane pureblood family left? I hope not. I really hope not. Is there any way that I could spend Christmas with your family? Pamela wandered the grounds. Her eyes never moving from the tips of his toes as he trudged through the grounds. It was still early morning. Early enough for most students to be still asleep within their beds. But not Pamela. She had been awoken by the most terrible of dreams, covered in sweat from head to toe. It was a most awful dream. A dream concerning a lost loved one. A torn Hufflepuff tie. A dead body upon the ground. The body of a man most recogniseable laying within a puddle of blood.
She pulled her blue cloak in tighter around her, a shiver rolling down her back. She had to go for a walk. She had to calm down. If she were to stand any chance of calming down, she had to go for a walk. And that was exactly what she was doing. But she hadn’t paid any attention to where exactly she was walking and soon found herself going for an unexpected swim.
Clothes soaked. Hair dripping, the girl flailed. Her swimming lessons having gone out the window as she struggled to stay afloat. Her cloak was pulling her down into the depths. Down towards the home of the Giant Squid. The longer she was in that lake, the bigger the chance of drowning and hypothermia.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as her back came to rest against the trunk of a tree. He had broken her. Shattered her into a million pieces. Torn her apart limb from limb. How could he be okay? How could he walk through the school grounds as if nothing had ever happened? Was it a special trait that only men posessed? How come that was even possible? How could it be fair? Her shoulders shook as she sat there, her school books ignored beside her.
A year and a half. That’s how long they had dated and yet he had called it off as if they had never happened. As if that year and a half never existed.
The young woman didn’t notice the sounds of someone lurking nearby. She didn’t know that her friend Lucy had been able to track her down. And to be honest everywhere in the castle reminded her of him. There wasn’t one place that they hadn’t spent time in together. That she hadn’t met him after class… or even during class for that matter. And that wasn’t at all helping her recovery process.
Although her Death Eater parents were of course glad that she was done with that traitorous scum!

I don't get this. I know I should accept this. I know that we're through. But how do you stop feeling something for a woman you loved for a year and a half in an instant? What did I do to make you lose your trust in me? How could you say I love you one day and then the next tell me that it's over? It just doesn't compute Sean! Please. Please tell me how I can make this right! Tell me so that I can fix it and we can try again!
